Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of JMPLA in the province of Huambo, José Carlos Tombo, highlighted Wednesday, the need to modernize party political action with the introduction of digital values, with a focus on strengthening the organization.
The person in charge was speaking during the first colloquium on the political trajectory of the JMPLA in the province of Huambo, part of the program commemorating the 23rd of November, which marks the date of the founding of the MPLA youth organization.
José Carlos Tombo said that they must combine party political action with the insertion of new technologies in this digital era, so that the organization can impose itself in the new context and modernize party mobilization techniques.
He mentioned that activists need to continually improve their methods of acting in the face of an increasingly demanding society with a high degree of critical argument and, at the same time, instill a true political-partisan spirit in the organization.
He recognized that, in 61 years of existence, the JMPLA has made great strides towards its self-affirmation, at a time when it has intensified its mobilization programs and massive recruitment of new militants.
The JMPLA, founded on November 23, 1962, in Leopoldville, now Kinshasa, has close to 150,000 activists, distributed across the 11 municipalities in the province of Huambo.
The municipality of Londuimbali, in the northern corridors of this region of the Central Plateau, hosts, on Thursday, the provincial act alluding to the founding of JMPLA, whose patron is the nationalist Hoji-Ya-Henda, who played an important role in the fight for freedom and well-being of Angolans.
