Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretary for associations and entrepreneurship at JMPLA in Uíge, Cláudia Marisa, Thursday, called on women in the region to invest in technical-professional training and in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
Speaking at the opening of the Workshop on “The vision and contribution of young women to the economic development of the province”, he said that the commitment to training women will contribute to the social and economic development of the region.
Sponsored by the JMPLA Provincial Secretariat in Uíge, as part of the activities of the March Woman Day, the workshop aimed to give young women a chance and voice, through the use of important tools that guide them in society.
The official also recognized the role of women as a force in society and the nursery of the family, justifying being the starting point and arrival of men in the world and a promoter of social well-being.
The workshop, which was attended by 200 women, also addressed mechanisms for accessing credit and employment, female entrepreneurship and its impact on society, among other topics.
