Africa-Press – Angola. The 1st meeting of follow-up groups from the Provincial Secretariat to the municipalities and the Higher Education Committee of the JMPLA, yesterday recommended that the organization and the MPLA pay special attention to the social conditions of militants and youth in general.
The recommendation arises from the need to be more dynamic in solving the problems that afflict these social strata, with a view to providing better living conditions and job creation.
The session also recommended the creation of agricultural and livestock cooperatives, to encourage self-employment among youth, as well as the promotion of political and ideological training actions for intermediate structures of JMPLA, especially the Higher Education Committee.
Inculcating internal discipline within the bodies and bodies of the JMPLA, in order to avoid lack of decorum in political approaches, as well as to avoid their involvement in conflicts and intrigues, are also part of the recommendations.
The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee, Nelo de Carvalho highlighted the need for the JMPLA to encourage militants to actively participate in Angola’s political, economic, social and cultural life, contributing to the integral development of the country.
He also defended the need to intensify the follow-up work of the JMPLA intermediate and grassroots bodies and bodies to the municipalities, aiming at the continuous improvement of the functioning of their structures.
On his turn, the provincial secretary of JMPLA, Dilangue Baião, appealed for the culture of unity, respect for others, solidarity, concord within the family, among other social aspects that contribute to the good of communities, as the organization must not only dedicate itself to whether to political issues.
He considered that the problem of access to employment, professional training, higher education, the problem of land for self-directed construction, housing, combating juvenile delinquency and the wave of suicides in Malanje, are issues that afflict the youth and were discussed at the meeting.
The session took place under the motto: JMPLA, for citizenship and progress, let’s build a better future and aimed to analyze the functioning of the Municipal and Communal secretariats of JMPLA, internal discipline and audit within the organization, membership dues and contributions from militants, among other aspects .
