Africa-Press – Angola. The First National Secretary of JMPLA, Crispiano dos Santos, urged, this Wednesday, in Luanda, the youth to remain more vigilant and attentive to the alleged untruths, which they say about the current state of the country, disseminated by pseudo- influencers.
Crispiano dos Santos, who spoke in his opening speech on the commemorative day of 23 November, under the motto “JMPLA – Love the Country and Make Angola Grow More”, on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the founding of JMPLA, stated that the moment of vigilance serves to transmit to youth what they should be, posture, in ways that do not disseminate information on social networks.
He reiterated that pseudo-influencers are nothing more than a circle of non-patriots who hide behind the internet to undermine peace, national unity and the development of Angola.
“We must remain vigilant and focus on concrete, real-life actions that contribute to our growth, the growth of our families and communities,” he said.
According to Crispiano dos Santos, the celebrations on November 23rd are held in a context of multiple and profound challenges, especially in the social and economic sectors that require youth, and in particular JMPLA activists, greater sharpness, courage and determination , in order to satisfy the aspirations of youth.
The person in charge advised young people to focus on training, entrepreneurship, patriotism and volunteering as their way of life.
“We must stop simulating behaviors and usurping the skills of others to achieve certain positions, roles must be assumed through meritocracy, with a high standard of competence and a lot of responsibility”, he said.
With the spirit of vigor that is based on youth, he also urged that youth strengthen the patriotic spirit that lives within them, so that the Nation can be strengthened.
During the JMPLA’s 61st anniversary, dedicated to the promotion of peace, exaltation of patriotism and support for the leader of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, multidisciplinary activities will be held such as colloquiums with themes of national relevance, namely “The State of Social Development -Economic policy of the country, “The Role of Youth to Safeguard Peace and the Exaltation of Patriotism” as they are fundamental values that build an increasingly free, developed and democratic state.
On November 23, 1962 in Leopoldville, today’s Kinshasa on the threshold of the National Liberation War, was founded and conceived by the MPLA as its mass Youth Organization.
