JMPLA wants support from UNEA in the patriotic formation of young people

Africa-Press – Angola. The acting secretary of the JMPLA in Huambo province, Rufino Evaristo Muteca, this Friday requested the support of the National Union of Angolan Students (UNEA) in the patriotic, academic and technical-professional training of young people.

Rufino Evaristo Muteca, who was speaking at a meeting with the heads of public and private general education associations, within the framework of actions scheduled for this year, said that the MPLA youth organization wants to rely on the partnership of UNEA in training and social responsibility actions. .

He referred that JMPLA intends, with this support, to encourage, along with general education schools, coexistence in diversity, humility and the practice of associativism, aimed at preserving social peace.

“Schools should be the place for debates, culture and teaching, where students also excel in discipline, love for others and good coexistence, with a focus on maintaining peace and the good name of State institutions”, stressed.

In turn, the president of UNEA in the province of Huambo, Rafael Leonardo Capapelo, praised the initiative of JMPLA, for helping to raise the students’ culture in relation to social policies, in addition to promoting solidarity, volunteering and the spirit civic and patriotic.

He defended the urgent resolution of the problem of access to public transport and the reinforcement of public security in school areas and at taxi stops, for the prevention of possible cases of physical and sexual violence against night students.

The JMPLA was conceived by the MPLA as its mass youth organization, whose objectives were fundamentally aimed at education, raising political and patriotic awareness and the cultural and technical promotion of Angolan youth, as well as the mobilization of youth for the objectives of the national liberation struggle then in force, giving them the natural and historical mission of being a nursery for MPLA militants and cadres.
