Africa-Press – Angola. Appointed this Wednesday, by the President of the Republic, to the position of governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar is the 12th to lead the province’s destinies, since 1976.
Born on August 28, 1983, the new governor is an economist and replaces Pedro Makita Armando Júlia.
He served, among others, as deputy for the Malanje provincial circle and as coordinator of the MPLA monitoring group for Cuanza Norte, having been part of the 5th Commission of the National Assembly, which is responsible for Economy and Finance.
João Gaspar is also a university professor and was coordinator of the Malanje Young Entrepreneurs Forum, a province in which he also served as delegate of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, as well as director of a football club.
