Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President João Lourenço appointed Lucas Manuel João Quilundo to serve as a judge advisor to the Constitutional Court, according to a note from the press office of the President of the Republic.

According to the Presidential Decree, Lucas Quilundo, former commissioner of the National Electoral Commission (CNE) and its spokesperson, occupies a vacant position due to a non-renewable seven-year term limit for a judge advisor of the Constitutional Court.

The new judge councilor replaces judge councilor Júlia de Fátima Leite Ferreira, who retired earlier this month.

The Constitutional Court is composed of 11 advisory judges, including jurists and magistrates, of which four are appointed by the President of the Republic, including the president of the court.
