Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President João Lourenço on Thursday appointed Judge Evaristo José Solano to the position of vice-president of the Court of Auditors.
According to a statement released by the Press Services of the Presidency of the Republic, the decision comes as a result of the aforementioned position being vacant and the need to ensure the normal functioning of the Court of Auditors.
The Court of Auditors is the supreme body for overseeing the legality of public finances in Angola, with jurisdictional and control functions.
It acts independently, ensuring that the management of public resources observes the principles of legality, economy, efficiency and transparency.
