Africa-Press – Angola. Vice President Esperança da Costa discussed on Friday (07) with China’s ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, the current state of bilateral relations in various domains of the Angola/China relations.

In the end of the audience granted by the Angolan Vice President, the Chinese diplomat said to journalists that the Vice President gave some guidelines related to the new areas of co-operation between the two countries.

“We’ll implement all the suggestions laid out by the Vice President of the Republic”, asserted the Chinese diplomat.

Zhang Bin also stressed that Esperança Costa made a positive assessment of the bilateral relation, with highlight on the results that have been obtained in sectors like agriculture, industry, plus in processing and transforming minerals.

As per the Chinese ambassador, the proximity between the two nations is sustained by the good relations between the two peoples, who have been promoting inter-personal and cultural exchanges.

Zhang Bin also made reference to the deepening of the co-operation in the near future in the areas of culture, education, sports and health, and this, he emphasised, brings about a vision of a multifaceted strategic partnership, with focus on commerce, investment, and infrastructures.

He disclosed that the partnership is now being expanded to new areas, such as public security, green development, digital transformation and staff training.

The Angola/China commercial ties generated in the year 2024 a business flow of roughly 24 billion dollars, confirming China’s prominence as a trading partner and investor in Angola, the latter being also an important supplier of crude oil to the Asian country.
