Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said this Wednesday, in the province of Benguela, that energy is a fundamental condition for the country to industrialize.
“The purpose of electrifying the country is not only to serve the citizens, guaranteeing energy at home, but also to create the conditions for the much-desired industrialization of our country”, said the Head of State in statements to journalists, at the end of the inauguration of two photovoltaic solar parks installed in the towns of Biópio and Baía Farta.
According to the President of the Republic, there can be no industrialization if there is no energy. “We have been complaining over time that our raw materials are exported in raw materials, they do not have local processing, they do not leave local wealth, they do not provide jobs, because we export our raw materials in raw”,
If there is an abundance of energy, he added, at least there is no longer an excuse.
“There will be no shortage of energy and investors who want to bet on different industries will have this essential asset for the functioning of any industry, which is energy”, stressed João Lourenço.
