João Lourenço: "We want to make Angola a food exporter"

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, reaffirmed this Friday, in Oslo, the capital of Norway, the invitation to the Norwegian business community, with the participation of which Angola wants to become a food exporter.

“We invite Norwegian businessmen to invest in agribusiness in the country, as we want to make Angola an exporter of food,” he said.

During the press conference, held at the end of the working lunch meeting with the Prime Minister of Norway, the Angolan Head of State ensured the strengthening of cooperation between the countries.

João Lourenço said he had chosen Norway for the first state trip after being elected as proof of the trust that is felt in the European partner, and therefore, all the advantages should be taken advantage of, especially participation in the process of diversification of the economy.

Despite recognizing the primacy of the energy sector in cooperation, President João Lourenço assured that other sectors, including fisheries research, should be boosted.
