Africa-Press – Angola. One hundred and five tons of corn will be harvested, between the months of September and December, this year, in an area of 35 hectares of the Jorge Semedo agricultural farm.
Located in the municipality of Dande, province of Bengo, the farm began harvesting 60 tons in a perimeter of 20 hectares, while another 45 tons will be harvested in December, in an area of 15 hectares.
The project occupies an area of 200 hectares, of which only 80 are in production.
The farm’s owner, Jorge Semedo, informed that this year it is planned to increase the cultivation area from 80 to 100, with the aim of increasing production.
He mentioned that the project still has around 20 hectares prepared for planting corn destined for the national market.
This is a private initiative project, whose investment is over 15 million Kwanzas (own funds).

The Jorge Semedo farm began its activity in 2022.
At the moment it is also investing in animal husbandry (cattle) and already has 45 heads.
The project generated 15 jobs.
