Africa-Press – Angola. Eighty-five teams from 16 of the country’s 18 provinces will participate from Friday to Sunday, at the Lubango Multipurpose Pavilion, in the national junior and cadet Judo championship, for both sexes.

Of this number, seven teams are cadets and 78 are juniors.

This is a sporting event organized by the Federation of the sport (FAJ), together with the local association, as revealed Wednesday, in this city, by the president of that association, Estêvão Mucongo.

According to the source, the representations of Zaire and Uige will not compete, due to allegations of lack of financial and transport conditions.

He highlighted that in the junior category, teams from Luanda, Bié, Zaire, Malanje, Benguela, Cuando Cubango, Namibe, Cunene, Lundas Sul and Norte, Cuanzas Sul and Norte, Moxico, Cabinda and Huíla (hosts) will compete.

In juniors, for men, the teams will compete in weights of minus 48 kg, -60 kg, -63, -81 kg, +63 kg and +81, while for women, they will compete for weights of -44 kg, -48 kg, -52 kg, – 57kg, -63kg, -70 and +70 kg. Cadets will participate in -50, -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg and -90kg.

Interclube, in juniors, and Clube Desportivo Boavista de Luanda, in cadets, are the title holders.
