Africa-Press – Angola. JURA, a youth organization of the UNITA party, elected Saturday, in Caxito, Bengo province, 20 delegates to the V ordinary congress to take place from 15 to 17 March, in Luanda.
The delegates were elected during a provincial conference that also nominated seven members for the central committee of the organization by the provincial cycle of Bengo.
At the opening of the meeting, the provincial secretary of UNITA in Bengo, Moniz Alfredo, said that the moment is for reflection and reinforcement of the organisation’s internal unity.
He referred that any organization or electoral process must be done based on rules, and urged the delegates to demonstrate the democratic spirit and the sharing of opinions.
The conference was attended by 74 delegates.
The Jura meets in congress every 4 years.
