Africa-Press – Angola. Five hundred and eighty-seven delegates from the country’s 18 provinces and the diaspora, affiliated to the Youth Unida Revolucionaria de Angola (JURA), will participate from March 15 to 17 of this year in the V Ordinary Congress of the organization, in Complexo of Sovsmo in the Municipality of Viana, in Luanda.

The information was disclosed today, Thursday, by the outgoing general secretary of JURA, Agostinho Kamuango during a press conference held at Sovsmo premises.

The political leader said that the term of office of the board that emerged from the IV Ordinary Congress of JURA, held in November 2018, which served a four-year term, is at an end.

He made it known that the Congress is the supreme body of that youth organization in the light of its statutes and deliberates on all aspects that they deem necessary, thus among several attributions it has the competence to amend and approve the statutes and its regulations, elect the National Committee and its secretary general.

Agostinho Kamuango said that during the conclave the congressmen will analyze the internal life of that organization and the Angolan youth with a view to seeking viable solutions to solve their problems.

He indicated that the event will be attended by several national and foreign guests.

He informed that he will not run for re-election, but stated that he is available for several challenges from the UNITA party.
