Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty-six members of the Juventude Unida Revolucionaria de Angola (JURA), in Cuanza Sul province, were elected to participate in the V ordinary congress of the organization, taking place from the 16th to the 17th of this month, in Luanda, this Saturday.
The information was provided by the interim secretary of the UNITA youth organization in Cuanza Sul, Rodrigues Chamucondo, adding that the conference took place from February 28 to March 1 of this year, in the city of Waco-Kungo, municipality of Cela, and was attended by participation of 132 delegates from the 12 municipalities of the province.
On the occasion, the person in charge considered the participation of the militants in the event positive, justifying that the elected delegates will properly represent Cuanza Sul in the conclave.
The V Ordinary Congress of JURA will have the participation of 582 delegates from the 18 provinces of the country.
The event will elect the organization’s next general secretary, a position for which candidates Nelito Ekuikui and João Lukombo are running.
