Africa-Press – Angola. Betting on actions that forge a more serious and robust youth, capable of defending the ideals of Unita and the country, are the priorities of the candidate for secretary general of Unita’s youth arm, the Jura, Nelito Ekuikui.
The politician made this statement during the campaign to present the three fundamental axes of his electoral program, Saturday, in the city of Lubango, which, according to him, involves “Affirmation, ideological purity and leadership training”.
The presentation of its lines of strength was made to delegates from the province of Huíla who will participate in the 5th Congress of that youth organization that will take place on the 17th of this month, in Luanda, under the motto: “Respect the past, challenge the present and relaunch the future”.
He also pointed out as a challenge, to promote the technical training of youth professionals, in matters of leadership, so that the system of corruption, nepotism and flattery can be definitively inhibited.
He considered that this fringe of society constitutes an extract of the population that deserves more attention, for which reason it must continue to assume its essential role in the face of the challenges that the country presents.
The campaign of candidate Nelito Ekuikui and his opponent, João Lukombo, opened on 12 February last, in Uige province and ends on the 12th of this month, in the country’s capital.
Nelito Ekuikui has also passed through the provinces of Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Cuando Cubango, Bié, Malanje, Lundas Norte and Sul and Moxico, with a view to convincing the youth electorate, with the slogan “Faith and focus”.
