Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan writer Kamba Lemba makes his debut in the literary market with the book “Ressurreição poética”, to be released on the 27th of this month, at the headquarters of the Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), in Luanda, he announced yesterday to the press , the author.
Kamba Lemba explained that his first book, published by Brigada Jovem de Literatura de Angola and Alupolo, is composed of 50 poems dominated by lyrical and satirical verses.
The poet said that the title of the book represents the awakening to the resumption of writing after a long period of closed season, provoked by imperatives beyond his control, soon after participating in poetic collections. Kamba Lemba considers himself a “poet resurrected from stagnation” for taking up, the poetic scribbles with more vigor and determination three years after the interregnum.
“I had a long interregnum. I see this as a resurrection due to the fact that I have resumed and embraced writing with more intensity until I prepare the necessary conditions for the release of this work to the public”, argued the poet, who is awaiting details from the publisher about the number of pages and prices of the work.
The writer’s first book is prefaced by the Angolan author Capui Lara, who highlights the poetic vein of Kamba Lemba by the magic relegated to a unique surrealist lyricism expressed in the poem in the poems that reveal the pure and true thought.
The writer, who is already thinking about his next work of short stories, participated in previous years in poetic collections, namely “Raízes, Laços de Cultura de Angola com Brasil”, “Sol” and “Geração que ler, Poetas da Nova Angola”.
