King of Spain visits Angola

Africa-Press – Angola. The King of Spain, Felipe VI, starts on Monday (6th) a 72-hour state visit to the country, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

King Felipe VI, who will come to the country accompanied by Queen Letizia, will go to the Memorial Dr. António Agostinho Neto to pay tribute to the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, heading to the Presidential Palace, where he will be received by the Angolan Head of State.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Luanda, the King of Spain will attend a plenary session of the National Assembly, where he will address the deputies, and an Angola-Spain business forum.

Cooperation relations between Angola and the Kingdom of Spain are based on the General Cooperation Agreement, signed on May 20, 1987, and the Complementary Agreement to the General Agreement, initialed in November 1987.

Spain currently has more than 60 companies operating in Angola in different sectors, such as energy, banking, construction and agriculture.
