Africa-Press – Angola. The King of the Netherlands, Willem-ALexander, highlighted, on Wednesday, the importance of the role of the ombudsman during the opening of the lecture cycle at the 13th World Conference of the Institute of Ombudsmen (IOI), in The Hague.
At the event in which the Ombudsman, Florbela Araújo, participates as IOI Regional Director for Africa, the King of the Netherlands also said that despite belonging to different countries, “these mediators have the mission of promoting human rights , good governance and mediating conflicts between citizens and public administration”.
According to a note sent to JA Online, Florbela Araújo participated in the session to share knowledge and experiences about the role of the Ombudsman, environmental protection, damages, losses and injustices for citizens.
