Africa-Press – Angola. The company Kubaka Premium, one of the contractors for the construction project of the Complexo Hospitalar General Pedro Maria Tonha “Pedalé”, was removed from the process, due to poor performance.
Sources assure that the Ministry of Health, owner of the work, terminates yesterday the works contract that linked it to the company Kubaka Premium, following a negative evaluation of its participation in the construction works of the future Pedalé hospital.
It should be noted that on Wednesday, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, visited the works at the Complexo Hospitalar General Pedro Maria Tonha “Pedalé” and, in a comment on its evolution, publicly said that he had not left “very satisfied with the visit “.
Located in Morro Bento (Gamek on the right), in the Maianga Urban District, the hospital occupies an area of 32,000 square meters and the main building is to be developed on three floors, in a total area of 29,062 square meters.
The hospital unit also has 36 external consultation offices, 16 examination rooms, 36 hemodialysis armchairs, two radiotherapy and radiosurgery treatment rooms, nuclear medicine, two delivery rooms, an intermediate care unit, with capacity for 16 beds, five laboratories, training center in robotic surgery and two nuclear accelerators.
The Hospital Complex will also have Nuclear Medicine, Histocompatibility Laboratory (to check compatibility between the organ donor and recipient, in cases of transplants), Neurosciences and Orthopedics.
Among the services to be provided by the future hospital unit are also Cervico-Facial Surgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, Hepato-Bilio-Pancreatic Surgery, Selected Maternal and Child Care and differentiated specialized training.
