This is the first edition of the event, whose objective, according to the president of the Associação da Jovem Mulher, Vanuza Kalumayela, is to support vulnerable families to raise the legal culture, prevention and treatment of seasonal and intestinal diseases.
He highlighted that due to some visits carried out in the peripheral areas of Lubango, they found the existence of many families that lack legal knowledge and access to specialized health services.
In turn, the chairman of the provincial council of the Ordem dos Médicos, Armando Kahala, stressed that, due to the climate situation, the appearance of respiratory diseases is common, which is why advice has been given to the population to dress warmly. if.
He underlined that the fair has functioned as a medical office outside the hospital units and has contributed to assisting the population that often finds it difficult to carry out certain specialty consultations.
Consultations were carried out by seven lawyers and eight physicians. The second edition of the fair for legal and medical consultations will take place next September, in the municipality of Matala.
