Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Luanda, Manuel Homem, exhorted the members and militants of this political formation to contribute to the process of dynamizing and revitalizing the structures of the party, the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA) and the Party Youth ( JMPLA), in order to allow a better insertion in society.

The official was speaking at the greeting ceremony for the beginning of the year, held this Friday (27) at the headquarters of the Provincial Committee of the MPLA in Luanda, having pointed out, as a priority, the updating of statistical data processes for the registration of militants and the network of basic institutions existing in the neighborhoods, in the sense of “knowing how many we are, where we are, how we are, where the CAP works, the Sector Committee, the OMA Section and the JMPLA Nucleus”.

He recommended greater interaction with the State’s local administration bodies, at the various levels of the province’s territory, for better and good governance, aiming at solving or satisfying the main desires and needs of citizens.

“Party, OMA and JMPLA militants have to know about the main projects and action programs of the local administration, with an impact on their circumscription, lending their contribution to their successful implementation”, he said.

In his speech, Manuel Homem said that interaction with leaders of civil society organizations and opinion makers is also essential.

He announced that, within the framework of the challenges for the present year, actions will be carried out for overcoming, training and political training of the party’s leaders, cadres and militants, raising the level of knowledge and providing tools for a quantitative and qualitative work of activism and political combat in all domains, with a particular focus on social networks.

The activity counted with the participation of members of the Political Bureau of the MPLA, of the Central Committee, among others.
