Africa-Press – Angola. The head of the Army’s Instruction and Teaching Directorate, Lieutenant General Simão Carlitos Wala,Saturday, in Huambo, appealed to the troops to raise, more and more, the levels of exaltation of civic and ethical-military values , with a focus on loyalty to the Fatherland.
The general officer was speaking at the end of the Updating Instructors and Monitors courses and the Training of Infantry Weapons and Shooting Monitors, held over the past 45 days at the Army Troop Instruction Center “Heróis de Kangamba”, located in the municipality from Chicala-Cholohanga, Huambo province.
On the occasion, he said that the military should always prioritize values that lead the Angolan Armed Forces in a dignified manner, thus ensuring loyalty to good examples and good doctrinal influences.
According to Lieutenant General Simão Carlitos Wala, the interest of the Nation above any other, the pride of being Angolan, the cult of patriotism and civic spirit are examples of dedication and fidelity to the Motherland, whose honor, integrity and instructions will be defended, with the sacrifice of one’s own life, as described in the text of the Oath of Flag of the Republic.
He added that the internalization of these actions lacks someone who teaches, provides learning and, above all, believes and faithfully practices the formation and strengthening of a civic society, through the young soldiers, because “the order even convinces, but the example drags ”.
For this reason, he stated that the military instructor has the task of reflecting his image in the mirror of the student’s life, regarding the essential manifestations of military values represented by patriotism, civic spirit, faith in the mission, spirit of the body, love of the Homeland and technical improvement -professional during their coexistence.
Regarding the course, Lieutenant General Simão Carlitos Wala stated that infantry weapons and shooting instruction can be analyzed from a theoretical and practical perspective of training, in which the transmission of knowledge, technical and tactical precepts is sought.
“Shooting can be understood from a more specific, eminently practical point of view, in which theoretical consolidation and improvement of technical procedures are sought”, he stressed.
He referred that the less positive results verified in the preparation of new soldiers coming from the Troop Instruction Centers constitute a clear concern of the Army Command in this aspect and, for this reason, the branch commander issued Dispatch no 00767, where he determined the realization of the courses Updating of Instructors and Monitors and the Training of Weapons and Artillery Shooting Monitors.
The course, according to the general officer, intended to format a standard with characteristics of dynamic procedures, presenting didactics focused on instruction in infantry weapons and shooting, with a view to promoting training/qualification for the instructor and monitor of this military specialty in teaching, strategically and pedagogically.
The event, which had the integration of the National Standard another important moment, was marked by practical exercises and a theoretical class demonstrating the course, in addition to the awarding of honorable mentions to the most distinguished, including the Administration of the municipality of Chicala-Cholohanga and to the Local Command of the National Police, for institutional support to the Army Soldiers Instruction Center “Heróis de Kangamba”.
