Adriano da Silva, promoter of ASSAELE events, defended the urgent need to create an annual cultural agenda, in which it is capable of stimulating and promoting reading and book habits. in the country.

For Adriano da Silva, the Book Fair, held on Saturday, at Shopping Fortaleza, located on the Marginal de Luanda, aimed to create new cultural facts, explore new spaces and create a test balloon for upcoming fairs.

As an association, he guaranteed, the purpose remains to safeguard the interests of school book publishers and others.

He explained that the first edition of the Book Fair, in partnership with the management of Shopping Fortaleza, aimed to celebrate the 446th anniversary of the city of Luanda, marked on 25 January.
At the fair, which included the participation of several national publishers, namely Editora das Letras, Moderna, Progresso, Popular, Mayamba, WA and Livraria AMS, a wide variety of books for all tastes and ages were exhibited.

With the prospect of more partnerships of this kind, ASSAELE wants to give greater visibility to national publishers and bookstores, motivating the public with a taste for reading.
ASSAELE’s main objective is to safeguard the interests and independence of associated school book publishers operating in Portugal. Through its governing bodies, its action is guided by total transparency and the fight against unfair competition, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.
