Africa-Press – Angola. At a press conference held in Luanda, Luanda Medical Center (LMC) announced the official name change to Aliva, as a way of celebrating the institution’s ten years of activity. According to the Marketing and Communications Director, Ana Rita Fernandes, with the new identity the organization begins a new phase focused on accessibility, innovation and proximity in health care and well-being for the population.

The change to Aliva, she said, is the result of the implementation of a strategy to reposition the brand in the market. Over the last 10 years, she recalled, LMC has stood out with the opening of two clinics, hiring more than 50 doctors, serving 1.6 million people, the birth of around 700 babies, as well as training more than 500 health professionals.

The new brand represents an integrated health ecosystem, composed of four specialized areas: Aliva Clinics, Pharmacy, Laboratories and Health, and Health and Well-Being.

The president of the Jeta Holding group, Doron Ben-Sira, which owns the brand, highlighted the launch of the new brand as an important moment for the continuity of services and for strengthening the health system in Angola.

The inauguration of Aliva Laboratório, a unit of excellence serving clinics, hospitals and doctors in Luanda, is scheduled for next May.
