Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA vice president said this Friday (8th) that the party is in a position to continue to add victories in all electoral challenges, stating that “the machine is increasingly fine-tuned, without any fear”.
Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the seminar on general elections, organized by the Constitutional Court, Luísa Damião stressed that in the MPLA, when there are challenges, mobilization is automatic and breaks barriers, as it has a trajectory of struggle and victories forged in its capacity and strategic vision.
She stressed that the ruling party has already worked with militants, friends and supporters to update electoral data to be able to vote next August. She mentioned that the political force is also raising the civic culture of citizens to participate in the process in an orderly manner and to live, in fact, the celebration of democracy.
Luísa Damião reinforced the need for other political parties to work towards a peaceful electoral environment. “The Court is doing its part to contribute to a peaceful and orderly election. We must trust the institutions we have and each party must do its job of raising awareness and motivating militants to participate in this election. convinced that we can set a good example of how to carry out orderly and peaceful elections”, he highlighted.
As for the preparation, he said that the MPLA machine remains in tune: “We are galvanized, motivated and secure, because we are all working to build our victory. A victory that is built with work, sacrifice and dedication. every year we want to improve more and more. All MPLA militants must be mobilized to support the President of the Republic, who is undertaking profound reforms that require courage and determination, with a view to socio-economic development and the well-being of families ”.
He also appealed to activists to be the first to inspect those who provide public services and to combat bad practices, considering that the current situation in the country requires discipline, coherence and commitment, in addition to the unity of structures at all levels to overcome the next political challenges. He asked the militants to strictly comply with the party’s code of ethics and the country’s laws.
