Africa-Press – Angola. The process of reorganizing the Avó Mabunda market will be completed in the next ten days, in order to allow greater control and sanitation of the premises, its administrator, Jeremias Lucas, said this Monday in Luanda.

When speaking at the first ordinary meeting with local vendors, the administrator said that the Mabunda market will have four areas for the sale of products such as fish, seafood, among others, in order to promote a transparent and fair business.

According to the person responsible, the registration of market vendors took place in the months of November and December, involving 913 vendors.

Registered people will have an identification number, a space of one and a half meters for the bench and will have to pay fees between 300 and 500 kwanzas, depending on the business adopted.

Regarding sanitation, he pointed out as a solution the creation of small youth cooperatives, with a salary equivalent to the national minimum (around 33 thousand kwanzas), to clean the market.

The meeting served to listen to the concerns of sellers and businesspeople in the market, with emphasis on sanitation and delinquency.

The Mabunda market is located in the urban district of Samba, in Luanda.
