Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Court of Malanje returned, on Monday (8), assets belonging to the then defendant Carlos Mulo, businessman from the ZECIND group, preventively seized in 2021, for alleged involvement in crimes of an economic nature.

Press found that the properties returned upon filing an appeal had as trustee Caritas Arquidiocesana de Malanje and an employee of the Provincial Court of Malanje, Hélder Salvador.

The ruling of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court acquitted Carlos Mulo and ordered the delivery of all assets, supporting the thesis that was taken on appeal.

It is a clinic, a secondary education institute, three pharmacies.

Luzivikueno Luvumbo, Carlos Mulo’s defense lawyer, confirmed that the assets are once again in the possession of the businessman, detained in 2021 in a judicial process that involved the former municipal administrator of Cacuso, Caetano Tinta, indicted as the alleged moral and material author of the crime of embezzlement, falsification of authentic documents and criminal association.
