Africa-Press – Angola. FC Bravos do Maquis face Recreativo do Libolo on Saturday, for the 28th round, in the village of Calulo (Cuanza Sul), in search of their first victory away from their stronghold, in this second half of the National Football Championship, Girabola 2022/23 .
The last victory of the maquisardes away from home was achieved in the 14th day of the first round, against Sporting de Cabinda.
Since the restart of the championship, last February, the Moxico team has recorded four defeats and two draws away from home, in away games, in the second half of the championship.
Speaking in anticipation of the clash with Calulo’s team, the Maquis coach, Mário Soares, considered it to be yet another challenge “difficult, but one that must be overcome”.
“Despite Libolo’s favoritism, we intend to establish a difference, which goes through the victory away from home”, maintained Mário Soares.
In turn, goalkeeper Landu Mavanga, who represented Recreativo do Libolo for several seasons, demonstrated the group’s determination to win this match.
In the first round of the championship, the two teams drew 1-1, at the Mundunduleno stadium.
In history, the two teams have faced each other on 30 occasions, with the advantage of Recreativo do Libolo, who won 14 games, against eight of the maquisards and an equal number of draws.
Currently, Bravos do Maquis is in 6th place with 35 points, while Recreativo do Libolo is in 9th place with 32 points, in a competition led by Petro de Luanda with 62 points.
