Africa-Press – Angola. Forty foreign citizens who were illegally in the province of Lunda-Sul were repatriated in the first quarter of this year, compared to 23 in the same previous period.
These are citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Guinea, Zimbabwe and Mali.
A note from the management of the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in Lunda-Sul indicates that the result is the result of the operation carried out by the inspection in the context of combating illegal immigration and inspection of foreigners under an irregular migration regime.
It states that seven people voluntarily left the city of Saurimo, due to not having the conditions and means of subsistence and highlights that during the period fines were imposed on eight foreign citizens of different nationalities.
The document also informs that due to the fines and administrative and migratory acts, it was possible to collect nine million 343 thousand 294 kwanzas for the Single Treasury Account (CUT).
On the other hand, the note highlights that in the period in question, 321 ordinary passports were requested and issued to national citizens, an increase of 23, while 41 are at the counter awaiting collection.
The SME in Lunda-Sul controls 825 foreign citizens with the status of holders of a work visa, temporary stay, residence, refugee card and provisional declarations of asylum application.
