Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of the Interior, Eugénio Laborinho, considered Friday, illegal immigration a complex and worrying problem both internally and externally.

The minister was speaking in the village of Santa-Clara, municipality of Namacunde, province of Cunene, during a visit to the 13th unit of the Border Guard Police, recalling that the world is transformed into a global village.

According to Eugénio Laborinho, human beings, due to their ability to move, generally seek to immigrate to places with better living conditions, an objective that leads many to ignore and violate the laws.

He said that the staff of the defense and security bodies are on the lookout for illegal immigration, the smuggling of goods and fuel.

“We have a vast land and sea border, but we note the presence of defense and security bodies in these areas, carrying out their work in the best possible way to keep our country safe”, he said.

The minister paid a two-day working visit to Cunene province, where he learned about the operations of the Fire Department, the Foreign Migration Service (SME), the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), the Santa Clara Post, between others.
