The minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication reaffirmed, in a congratulatory message for the 47th anniversary of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), signaling, today, support to the Board of Directors in the process of modernizing the station.

Mário Oliveira stressed that the Board of Directors and employees of the television station will count on the assistance of the tutelage to reinforce and expand the role of providing a public service of information, training the population, raising citizenship and rescuing values ​​and principles of Angolan culture.

The minister praised the progress made at TPA, mainly in what he considered an ambitious and necessary program of technological modernization, improvement and reinforcement of processes and working conditions.

This process, according to the official, has already allowed the transmission of content from analogue to HD, which was only possible through the implementation of the permanent training and specialization program for staff in the different areas, bringing television up to current technical and technological standards. .

“On this unique and very happy occasion, I address the Board of Directors of TPA, the employees and their families, best wishes for a happy birthday”, concluded Mário Oliveira.

For the celebration of the 47th anniversary of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), which is celebrated today, October 18, 2022, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the MPLA expresses its vote of recognition for the efforts being made so that citizens have access to broadcast content, considering television as the means par excellence for obtaining information.

In a statement on the date, the MPLA Political Bureau appeals to TPA professionals to be guided by the continuous exercise of a journalism that, apart from the traditional mission of informing and entertaining, is based on the production and dissemination of content that contributes to comprehensive training. of citizens, the deepening of participatory democracy, the promotion of open and constructive dialogue, the consolidation of peace and unity and national reconciliation.

Aware of the conjunctural difficulties, the document adds, the MPLA encourages the management of TPA, with the support of the Executive, to continue to implement actions aimed at providing a television service with better quality, which contributes to the promotion of national culture, ensures the freedom of expression and the confrontation of the different currents of opinion, in obedience to the precepts of fundamental freedoms, constitutionally and legally enshrined.

On behalf of the party’s militants, sympathizers and friends, the Political Bureau takes the opportunity to congratulate the Board of Directors, the collective of employees and collaborators who, with zeal and dedication, strive to ensure that TPA continues to be an important vehicle in the the country’s Social Communication sector, recording and publicizing the main events in the History of Angola and its heroic people.
