Minister highlights ANGOTIC as a 'locomotive' for economic diversification

Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, pointed out, this Thursday, in Luanda, the holding of the International Forum on Technologies in Angola (ANGOTIC-2024) as a factor in supporting national economic diversification.

When speaking at the launch of the 4th edition of ANGOTIC-2024, taking place from the 13th to the 15th of June this year, in Luanda, the government official said that, with the promotion of this event, the sector intends to be the locomotive of the country’s socioeconomic development and the well-being of all Angolans.

On the occasion, the minister said that the forum will allow sharing experiences and knowledge that enhance the creation of a favorable and attractive environment for private investment, as well as promoting public-private partnerships, with a view to providing services that make citizens’ lives easier and of business.

As in previous editions, he stated that ANGOTIC-2024 aims to be a reference international technology event, taking into account the unparalleled content of the forum that will be accompanied by a great exhibition and network.

He reiterated that ANGOTIC-2024, under the motto ‘Digitize, Connect and Innovate’, serves as a catalyst for collaboration and competition between national and international technology companies.

Therefore, he called on participants to take advantage of the opportunity to reflect on the potential and development of telecommunications for new business solutions and give visibility to the competence of the national and international market.

ANGOTIC is a global information and communication technology event, held and promoted by the Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.

The event aims to promote debate around current, global and future topics of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the sharing of knowledge and facilitate networking for government entities, exhibitors, experts, present innovations, as well as trends in the sector.

The largest International Forum on Technologies in Angola (ANGOTIC) returned, after two years of interruption, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
