Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State for the Social Sector, Dalva Ringote, stated, this Tuesday, in Luanda, that the Government has prepared a “coherent and realistic” OGE proposal for the 2024 economic year.
When responding to deputies, during the assessment of the OGE in the specialty, he said that it was objective planning, with the social sector at the center of the agenda.
Dalva Ringote recalled that the social sector accounts for around 20 percent of the total OGE2024, which estimates revenues and expenses in the order of 24.7 billion kwanzas, which represents an increase of three percent.
He highlighted that the Education sector has an absorption of 15.7 percent, followed by Health with 13.5 percent of the estimated tax expenditure.
According to the Minister of State, the Executive intends for the OGE to continue protecting Angolan families and their income, through the implementation of concrete measures.
In this regard, he highlighted the updating of civil service salaries, alleviating their tax burden, and ensuring new hires.
The minister said that Kwenda remains on the Executive’s agenda and plans to have greater coverage by 2024, expected to reach one million 203 thousand 568 families.
Dalva Ringote highlighted the executive’s commitment to gender equality.
“It is the executive’s desire to ensure that women remain at the center of political decisions, aiming to create a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society”, he concluded.
