Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote, pointed out, this Tuesday, in Moçâmedes, peace as an immeasurable value, uniting Angolans under a trail of common challenges, in all dimensions of the young country, from traditions, values, diversity and family.

Speaking at the central event commemorating the 21st anniversary of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, Dalva Ringonte said that the advent of peace allowed for the development of communities, solidarity and the incessant search for the best public policies for Angolans.

The minister considered Angola a country of peace, of which all Angolans are proud and constitutes a beacon of hope for countries involved in conflicts on the continent.

“Angola is, today, a country of mediation and peaceful resolution of conflicts, because we are lovers of peace and stability of peoples, through dialogue”, he reinforced.

According to Dalva Ringonte, Angola firmly and clearly condemns war and any other form of destabilization on the African continent and is committed to consolidating its democratic institutions, developing and diversifying its economy, with a view to progress, well-being and of the populations and the affirmation, more and more, of their identity and values ​​within the framework of nations and the world.

For Dalva Ringonte, no country can live in peace and security when conflicts persist on its borders that can easily spread and involve its own territory.

“For this reason, the consolidation of peace in Angola also involves the end of conflicts in neighboring territories, at regional and continental level. It is in this sense that our country strongly and clearly condemns war and any other form of destabilization on the African continent,” he said.

According to the minister, the tradition of peace makes Angola a permanent host of the Pan-African forum for the culture of peace, bringing together different government actors, civil society, the scientific community, artists and sports, as well as the private sector and international organizations to an ongoing dialogue on promoting peace, resolving conflicts and preventing violence, encouraging the values ​​of tolerance, solidarity, diversity, cultural exchange and human rights, contributing to a peaceful and prosperous Africa.

The official said that full and lasting peace must be inexhaustible, with the participation of all social partners of the State, traditional authorities, in the promotion of peace, the defense of democratic institutions and respect for authorities within communities.

“Today, we can celebrate how far we’ve come, but we have to remember that there’s still a long way to go. Peace, democracy and reconciliation, interconnected, constitute a continuous process, which requires dedication and commitment from all”, he said.

Dalva Ringonte also pointed out democracy as a fundamental value that must be expanded and deepened, respecting institutions, principles, freedoms and guarantees, defending the transparency of public affairs, justice and social equity.

The official emphasizes solidarity and cohesion as fundamental principles to strengthen the Nation and the full reach of democratic, economic and social conquests.

Regarding concerns of a social nature, he clarified that the Executive has priority programs and projects, such as the construction of dams, to retain water to combat drought and watering livestock, strengthening social protection “Kwenda”, for lunch schooling, promotion of employability, expansion of water supply in urban areas, municipal and rural areas, improvement of maternal and child health and nutrition.

“In reinforcing the growth and consolidation of the economy, the Executive has as priorities the continuous defense of household consumption and their income, the diversification of the economy by stimulating private investment and the liquidity of companies, as well as promoting public investment to accelerate growth and the recovery of jobs”, he concluded.

The 4th of April was celebrated with the inauguration of the residential complex for teachers and nurses, delivery of ambulances and a visit to the São Nicolau prison.
