Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes, this Saturday, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, praised the “Joint Venture” between Refriango and Pascual, for the implementation of a dairy production line in the country.
The official considered the partnership of “extreme importance” between companies, one Angolan and the other of Spanish origin, which share the same values and employ a lot of people.
The minister made these statements to the press during the inauguration of the new Pascual milk production line, to be produced by Refriango, which generated 150 jobs.
He stated that it is still not possible to make an assessment of the operation of the line that will generate self-sufficiency in milk production.
According to the official, 90 percent of the dairy products that Angolans consume are imported, having expressed hope with the results of the partnership in reducing the levels of imports of this product.
He assured that soon several factories will be inaugurated in the country and encouraged new investors to invest in the Angolan market.
In turn, the international director of Pascual, Tomás Meledezi, was motivated by the production of milk in Angola, in an investment of US$5 million.
He added that in a first phase, six million liters per year will be produced.
Tomás Meledezi considered Refriango a great company that presents all the parameters to develop this business in the country.
The head of Refriango, Diogo Caldas, said that over the years the company he runs has sought to develop the industrial sector and contribute to the development of the country.
Diogo Caldas understands that in Angola the dairy sector still lacks investment, hence the bet on the partnership with Pacual.
