Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received, this Friday, in Luanda, the new head of Diplomatic Mission appointed by the Swiss Confederation in Angola, Lukas Johannes Gasser.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent, the President of the Republic has expressed the Angolan Executive’s desire to see the strengthening of cooperation ties between Angola and the Swiss Confederation in the most varied areas of political-diplomatic life, economic and social and of common interest.

“The two countries have been establishing a process of political consultations at diplomatic level, which constitutes a useful mechanism, aimed at promoting bilateral dialogue between the parties”, adds the note.

The new Swiss ambassador to Angola replaces Ambassador Nicolas Herbert Lang, a career diplomat.

“Political consultations between Angola and Switzerland cover, among others, the areas of bilateral relations, regional and international issues of mutual interest, implementation of mutual agreements and exchange of experiences on issues of common interest”, underlines the document.

Lukas Johannes Gasser went to the Angolan diplomacy headquarters to present the Figurative Letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.
