Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, stated, this Friday, in Luanda, that the strategy for the development of women’s football was one of the topics discussed in the meeting with the president of the African Football Confederation (CAF), Patrice Motsepe.

Speaking to the press, at the end of the meeting with the African sports leader, held at the ministry’s headquarters, he highlighted the approach to the sector’s level of development and, more broadly, the sport in general.

As a result, the government official is waiting for help from the president of CAF and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to invest in training, aiming to improve the levels of coaches and monitors, as well as improving infrastructure.

Rui Falcão said that Motsepe assessed the state of national federated football as very good, but that the objective is to increase the practicing population, the development of football in schools and communities for good results in the medium term.

After his arrival in the country’s capital, Patrice Mostepe held a meeting with the management of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF).

A meeting with members of associations and clubs is also planned.

On Saturday, an audience with the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, is scheduled, as well as a visit to the Angola Football Academy (AFA) and the 11 de Novembro stadium.
