Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, expressed, this Thursday, his continued support for the modernization and organization of TV ZIMBO.
In a congratulatory message on its 15th anniversary, he said that the support aims to reinforce and expand its role as a provider of public information and training services for populations based on professional ethics and deontology, capable of contributing to the elevation of citizenship, rescue of the values and principles of Angolan culture.
He highlighted the role of this television station in the formation and consolidation of a widespread public opinion aware of their constitutional rights and duties.
He highlighted that the date is celebrated at a time when the modernization and reorganization process of TV ZIMBO continues, with emphasis on improving work processes and procedures, creation, recreation and expansion of studios, reinforcement and updating of the programming grid.
According to Mário Oliveira, the achievement of these challenges is only possible through the implementation of the permanent training and specialization program for staff in different areas, placing TV ZIMBO in the global panorama of current work standards.
For the celebration, the 2023 National Journalism Award Adjudication Committee extends its warmest congratulations to its Management Committee and collective of workers.
Encourages TV ZIMBO to continue its commitment to ensuring plural, independent, rigorous, impartial and responsible information, encouraging respect for the principles of deontology and professional ethics, relating to the exercise of Social Communication activities.
“On this very special date for the first and largest private television station in Angola, the Management of the National Journalism Award takes the opportunity to highlight the massive and repeated participation of TV ZIMBO professionals in its annual editions, where, for quality of the pieces presented, have achieved top positions, helping to encourage journalistic creativity and investigation in the country”.
