“We checked the level of execution of the projects and everything is going well. We also note the functionality of agricultural cooperatives that continue to receive some support from the Municipal Administration and the Municipal Agriculture and Fisheries Office. Still, we feel that they need better monitoring, as they face pest problems and the lack of fertilizers,” he said.
In relation to the health sector, the person responsible was concerned about the high rate of malaria that has been recorded in the last two months, without however citing figures.
He called on sector technicians to redouble awareness campaigns, within the immunities, with a view to reducing cases of the disease, such as the elimination of stagnant water, cleaning the environment, use of mosquito nets and water treatment.
“Despite the high level of malaria that the province is facing, there is already an instruction on emergency measures to combat the disease”, he assured.
