Africa-Press – Angola. Six hundred and eighty-nine “Made in Angola” stamps have been issued, since 2012, in the country, until the present date, revealed Monday, in the province of Bengo, the President of the Board of Directors of INAPEM, João Nkosi .

Of this number, which represents a total of 177 participating companies, five seals are green, as they deal with ecological issues, he explained during a meeting to publicize the benefits of adhering to the Made in Angola seal.

Luanda (capital of the country) is the leading province, with around 400 certified products, followed by Benguela and Huambo with more than 40 products.

The province of Bengo already has 11 products with the seal, out of the 14 under analysis.

In the region, five companies joined the process.

The deputy provincial governor of Bengo for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, José Francisco Bartolomeu Pedro, said that the province of Bengo has recorded, in recent times, a significant development in national production, with emphasis on agriculture, livestock, fishing and industry and, in some cases, products are exported.

He stressed that the “Made in Angola” service essentially aims to encourage and promote what is produced nationally, to accelerate the diversification of production in a focused and effective way and mobilize the country to increase consumption of what is produced in Angola.

The “Made in Angola” service aims to mobilize companies towards economic growth, seeking to improve the competitiveness of national goods and services and contribute to the sustained balance of the trade balance.

The meeting made it possible to mobilize and raise awareness among companies participating in Made in Angola to participate in the 2nd edition of the Expo “Made in Angola”, which will take place in Luanda, next November.
