Africa-Press – Angola. More than two thousand students from beginning to 9th grade, who had classes outdoors and in improvised classrooms, will study in better conditions, from now on, in the neighborhoods of Catapa and Mongo-a-Lienma, on the outskirts of the city of Uíge, with the opening, yesterday, of two schools.

The Catapa school, with 12 classrooms, will accommodate 1,400 students in three shifts, while the Mongo–a–Lienma educational institution will accommodate more than 600 students in two periods.

The two infrastructures, inaugurated by Governor José Carvalho da Rocha, were built, within the scope of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), have, among other compartments, directors’ offices, meeting and planning rooms, changing rooms, parking spaces and playgrounds.

The governor of Uíge recommended to the students for greater commitment and dedication in training, ensuring that the Government will solve the problems that most afflict the population.

José Carvalho da Rocha also asked students, teachers and residents to take care of the heritage that the authorities have made available to the population for the formation of new generations.
