Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA is working to maintain an in-depth dialogue with the communities to resolve the people’s problems, stated Nádia Monteiro, coordinator of the MPLA Political Bureau’s monitoring group for the province of Cuanza-Norte.
According to the party leader, this work aims to achieve “as quickly as possible” the objectives set by the Government and party leader João Lourenço.
The leader, speaking at a meeting with activists from the Múria community, 49 kilometers from the municipal headquarters of Cêrca, considered that maintaining an in-depth, ongoing, open, and inclusive dialogue will allow for a better understanding of the communities’ concerns and jointly identify the best ways to resolve them.During her speech, Nádia Monteiro emphasized the importance of listening directly to communities, acknowledging their concerns, aspirations, and offering constructive criticism.
The leader also highlighted the role of responsible dialogue as an essential tool for resolving national challenges.
“It is with this spirit that we will listen, dialogue, work together, and strengthen our achievements,” she emphasized.
She urged unity around the best solutions for Angola’s future.
In turn, João Diogo Gaspar, the MPLA’s first provincial secretary for Cuanza-Norte, who accompanied the delegation, emphasized that his party is committed to strengthening direct dialogue with communities and strengthening ties between the organization and the population, on the one hand, and between the central leadership and grassroots structures, on the other.
Initiatives of this kind, he stated, reinforce the dissemination of the MPLA’s Political Agenda, whose implementation must be focused on the needs of the population.
The leader reaffirmed the MPLA’s commitment in Cuanza-Norte province to continue working to improve the living conditions of the population, with special attention to the most remote and vulnerable areas.
The meeting was part of the group’s three-day visit to Cuanza-Norte, as part of direct monitoring of the grassroots, to foster greater ties between the central leadership and local structures.
The MPLA Political Bureau delegation’s visit to the province included visits to the party’s grassroots structures in the municipalities of Cazengo, Cêrca, and Lucala, where they discussed aspects of the organization’s internal operations with the first and second municipal secretaries and the Party Action Committees (CAP).
In these municipalities, they held meetings with activists, traditional authorities, and local communities to hear their concerns.
The concerns raised included improving access roads, strengthening medical and pharmaceutical assistance, building schools, and supporting agricultural producers.
