Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee, Nelo de Carvalho, reiterated Saturday, the reinforcement of unity and cohesion among the organization’s activists, aiming to materialize the 2022/2027 governance program.
The politician made this appeal at the end of a march in support of the speech on the State of the Nation, given on Monday (17), by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, at the opening of the parliamentary year.
Nelo de Carvalho said that only if the party is cohesive will it be able to overcome its weaknesses regarding the organization and functioning of intermediate and base structures.
He also highlighted the need for activists to continue to advocate national reconciliation, a spirit of forgiveness and to continue defending the party’s causes and closing ranks around its president.
On the other hand, he reaffirmed the party’s commitment to defending the interests of Angolans and improving their living conditions.
Regarding the President of the Republic’s speech, Nelo de Carvalho made it known that it represented another opportunity to outline the current socio-economic reality of the country and inform Angolans about the actions that the Executive has been taking to improve the lives of families.
