MPLA calls for transparency from activists for better governance

Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA in the municipality of Huambo, André Francisco Sambundo, urged, this Friday, the adoption of actions of patriotism, courage and transparency by the militants in alignment with the party’s objectives, for better governance.

The politician was speaking at the launch of the process of review assemblies and renewal of mandates in the party’s action committees at the level of the municipality of Huambo, under the motto “MPLA organize party structures for better insertion in society”.

André Sambundo stated that the good examples of patriotism and determination of the activists generate hope for better days among citizens, in addition to motivating them to close ranks around the party and President João Lourenço.

To this end, he said a greater sense of selflessness is necessary, as the party’s success necessarily depends on national cohesion and unity, in addition to the individual commitment and dedication of each member.

He added that the action of MPLA activists, whether those within the party structures or the Executive, must be as decisive and transparent as possible, so as not to tarnish the guidelines of the Central Structure.

André Sambundo considered the process of review assemblies and renewal of mandates to be important, which will serve to evaluate the party’s structures, envision strategic adjustments and reflect on the participation of militants in political action and, above all, strengthen the bases.

It is recalled that the provincial act of launching the activities of the assemblies of assessment and renewal of mandates of the MPLA action committees in Huambo was opened last Wednesday by the first secretary of the party in the province, Lotti Nolika, whose event took place in the town municipal district of Bailundo.
