The president of the MPLA Parliamentary Group, Virgílio de Fontes Pereira, at the head of a delegation made up of members of the National Assembly’s majority bench, took a message of hope and diverse goods to the elderly at Lar do Beiral de Luanda, whom he treated with affection , “our elders”.
Deputy Virgílio de Fontes Pereira informed the elderly that the visit was carried out only last Saturday, for reasons related to compliance with biosecurity measures, arising from the observance of the State of Public Calamity, guided by the then Presidential Decree, through which the authorities government agencies created clinical conditions for the prevention and fight against Covid-19.
The visit to the Lar do Beiral de Luanda was initially scheduled for December 2021. The president of the MPLA Parliamentary Group, out of respect, confessed to “the elders” that, if it weren’t for the impediment of Civid-19, the visit would have taken place on the scheduled date, “even as it is the period of the festive season for Christmas and the passage to the New Year”.
In addition to the donations given to the Home, the president of the MPLA Parliamentary Group, Virgílio de Fontes Pereira, said on the occasion that the visit was part of the party’s social responsibility, which, through actions like this, expresses solidarity and respect. by fringes of society that have done a lot, and still do, for the country’s development.
During their stay at Lar do Beiral de Luanda, the MPLA Parliamentary Bench delegation took the opportunity to leave a message of hope, within the scope of the implementation of public policies for the elderly, “carried out by the Executive of the majority party”.
