Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA in the province of Huambo, Adérito Chimuco, assured, this Saturday, the continued sustainability of public policies undertaken by the local Government, to promote the well-being of the population and social and economic development.
The supporter was speaking at the provincial act to revitalize the structures of the MPLA (party in power in Angola) held in the municipality of Cachiungo, in the eastern corridors of the province of Huambo.
This is an event that consists of strengthening party organizations and clarifying the Government’s public policies, aimed at improving the social conditions of the population.
On the occasion, Adérito Chimuco said that the continued sustainability of these policies, especially in this phase of successive municipal crises, necessarily involves the involvement of activists who must become promoters of economic development.
He warned families to be the main actors in preserving peace and to reject any political scheme that discredits the Government’s efforts, related to improving common well-being.
The supporter urged young people to undertake more and more in order to contribute to reducing economic dependence and the import of the basic food basket, through agricultural promotion and small businesses for self-employment.
He said that the Angolan State is doing everything to stabilize the economy with the sustainability of agricultural and industrial projects, expansion of the electricity network, drinking water supply systems, improvement of the road network and the construction of adequate infrastructure in all sectors.
He said that the Executive is doing everything to start the fertilizer production process in Angola, to reduce the costs of agricultural production and accelerate economic diversification programs.
The act of revitalizing MPLA structures ended with the entry of 192 new militants who abandoned the ranks of the UNITA and PRS political parties.
