Africa-Press – Angola. The First Secretary of the MPLA in Bié, Celeste Adolfo, requested greater unity, cohesion, and loyalty from militants and leaders in order to pursue the noblest tasks of making Angola a dignified place for all.
Celeste Adolfo was speaking at the party’s New Year’s greetings ceremony, held today in the city of Cuito.
The party official emphasized that no one outside of unity, discipline, and commitment can be a militant serving the noblest aims of the MPLA, reinforcing that the time has come to reclaim the sublime values and uncompromising principles of the party’s code of ethics, in order to exercise militancy with loyalty and a sense of mission.The measure aims not only to strengthen the MPLA’s party action, but also to define new strategies for organizing the masses, in order to accurately respond to the demands of the militant base.
The first secretary also highlighted the need for party leaders and cadres to prioritize “empathy” with citizens within communities, focusing on winning over new members.
Therefore, she said it is necessary for the MPLA to observe all the signs of the times, to capitalize on the sympathy of young people, especially those who are still undecided.Celeste Adolfo emphasized that the coming year is of great importance to the MPLA, given the holding of the IX Ordinary Congress, which he considers a conclave that will certainly become the biggest political event of the year.
Reacting to the speech, the first municipal secretary of the MPLA in Cunhinga, Adélia Ndavoca, reaffirmed the militants’ willingness to continue working for the good of the population.
The first secretary of the MPLA in Nharêa, Neves Bambi Chissonde, highlighted the need for constant engagement with the population through the provision of essential basic social services.
