Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Bié, Pereira Alfredo, said this Saturday, in Camacupa, that he would focus on instructing the party’s ideals to the new generation of activists, to remain firm, qualitative and robust.
Pereira Alfredo made these statements to the press, when speaking at the mass event, held in advance to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the MPLA, to be celebrated Sunday, December 10th.
According to the politician, the action constitutes a certainty that the MPLA will renew itself over time, investing more and more in youth, given the great achievements and challenges imposed on the country.
“Young people, especially those linked to the party, will be called upon to continue the government, through their actions and programs aimed at improving the basic social conditions of the populations”, he said.
Proof of this, he pointed out, for example, the spirit of sharing knowledge that existed within the founders of the MPLA, such as Emílio Machado, Mário Pinto de Andrade, António Agostinho Neto and others, who, at the time of its foundation, in 1956, already had with the future generation of strong activists capable of pursuing the party’s goals.
Accordingly, Pereira Alfredo looks at JMPLA not only as a breeding ground, but as a nucleus where the party’s support lies, due to the fact that some young people have already been interpreting these ideas well, which guide the practical life of the party.
On the occasion, the first Provincial Secretary of JMPLA in Bié, Alfredo Vieira Capitango, guaranteed to continue training young people with political and patriotic education, so that everyone is aligned with the party’s statutes.
As for the OMA, in the opinion of the head of the Department of Social Action and Citizenship, Adélia Ndavoca, women will always be the stronghold of this party, as they are the generators of life.
This time, she expressed the willingness of women affiliated with the organization to continue to assert itself as a strong pillar of the MPLA and a fundamental piece for mobilization, education and awareness in society, for the growth of its database.
The 67th anniversary of the MPLA is celebrated under the motto “Unity, Progress and Commitment for Angola”.
